Quesos Gómez Moreno has once again been awarded at the World Cheese Awards 2018.
In this 2018 edition, the company received a silver medal for its pasteurized Semi-Cured Manchego Cheese Don Gregorio. This Manchego cheese, aged for 2–3 months, complements the range of Quesos Gómez Moreno and is mainly characterized by its smooth, milky, and persistent flavor, with a great aroma and exquisite bouquet.
Until just a few weeks ago, this Manchego cheese awarded at the World Cheese Awards had only been sold for export in countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom, or the United States, but it is now available for sale at our store in the Industrial Estate. That’s why we invite all our customers to try it! Moreover, since it is pasteurized, it is suitable for all consumers, including pregnant women, who until now could not enjoy our matured cheeses since they are all made with raw milk.
This silver medal at the World Cheese Awards 2018 for the Don Gregorio semi-cured Manchego cheese adds to those obtained in previous years, totaling twelve medals since 2009 in this prestigious international cheese competition. Nearly our entire range has been awarded (Carpuela semi-cured artisan Manchego cheese, Carpuela cured artisan Manchego cheese, Gómez Moreno rosemary cheese, Gómez Moreno cheese cured in lard, Gómez Moreno cheese cured in olive oil, Gómez Moreno artisan truffle cheese, and finally the pasteurized Manchego cheese Don Gregorio).
In addition, during 2018 our artisan cheeses received several distinctions and awards. The Carpuela Cured Manchego Cheese won first prize for Artisan Cured Manchego Cheese at Expovicaman 2018, and this same cheese, winner of the Best Cheese in Spain award in 2016, was a finalist in the Gourmet Quesos 2018 competition.
