As I was saying, in addition to this delicious combination of flavors, we’ll show you how to make your own pizza dough.

There are very good quality pizza doughs on the market, but the satisfaction of making your own is a whole experience.

Also, in this recipe we show you how to make it without yeast, so don’t miss any details.

Pizza dough with flour and plain yogurt

To make the yeast-free pizza dough, we’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Flour (300 g, you can use your favorite kind)
  • 2 plain unsweetened yogurts (300 g)
  • A pinch of salt (to taste)
  • ½ small spoonful of baking soda
  • In our case, we added oregano and cilantro to the dough to give it a different flavor, but you can add other herbs instead.

How to make yeast-free pizza dough?

First, place all the dry ingredients in a large, deep bowl and mix them together. Then, add the yogurts to the mixture. If you find the dough is sticking too much to your hands, you can gradually add more flour.

Place it in the lower part of the oven for 10 minutes at 180 degrees with heat from above and below. The time may vary depending on the type of flour you used and your oven, so we recommend keeping an eye on the dough to make sure it doesn’t overcook.

Yogurt pizza dough

Ingredients for decorating pizza with pear and truffle cheese

Once we have our dough ready and rolled out, it’s time to decorate or add the ingredients.

There are a thousand recipes for making pizza, as this dish allows for all kinds of ingredients and combinations.

But in our case, we bring you a delicious main combination of pear and artisan truffled sheep cheese.

These are the ingredients for the preparation:

  • 1 pear, preferably a Conference pear.
  • Half an onion
  • Walnuts
  • Cooking cream (200 ml)
  • Philadelphia cheese
  • Honey
  • Nutmeg
  • Black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Artisan truffled sheep cheese

How to prepare a pear and truffle Manchego cheese pizza?

In a saucepan, pour in the cooking cream and add salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Let it simmer over medium-low heat. Once it starts to boil, add a tablespoon of Philadelphia cheese.

Lower the heat and stir until everything is well combined. Once done, pour the sauce over the pizza dough. Pear pizza sauce

Meanwhile, we’ll prepare the caramelized onion. Slice the onion very thinly and place it in a pan. Add a bit of salt and just under half a glass of water. Cover the pan and let it cook over very low heat. When the onion becomes translucent, add 3 tablespoons of sugar. Raise the heat to medium, stir the mixture, and once the onion turns brown, remove it from the heat.

To prepare the pear, just wash it thoroughly without peeling it, and carefully slice it using a mandoline. Then place it on top of the sauce and add the onion.

Next, cut the truffle cheese into pieces and randomly add them to the pizza. To finish, sprinkle the walnut pieces and caramelized onion evenly over the pizza.

Place the pizza in the oven for another 15 minutes at 180 degrees with heat from above and below, then take it out. If you want a crispier crust, you can leave it for 5 more minutes with heat only from below. Remember to place it on the lower rack so the ingredients don’t burn. Once you take it out of the oven, drizzle a bit of honey on top.
