What does the “Campo y Alma” distinction mean?

The Campo y Alma seal is a guarantee mark that brings together products with Designation of Origin and Protected Geographical Indication from Castilla-La Mancha. Winning a Silver Medal in this competition means that our cheeses have passed rigorous blind tastings conducted by experts who evaluate:

• Visual Phase: The cleanliness of the rind and the uniformity of the color.

• Olfactory Phase: The intensity of the aromas of Manchega sheep’s milk.

• Taste Phase: The balance between saltiness, acidity, and persistence on the palate.

In this edition, the panel of experts recognized two of our most beloved varieties under the Certeza brand, both crafted with the utmost dedication:

• Certeza Aged Manchego Cheese – Silver Medal 2026: A cheese that stands out for its intensity and persistence on the palate, the result of a carefully controlled aging process that gives it its distinctive firm character and ivory color.

• Certeza Semi-Cured Manchego Cheese – Silver Medal 2026: Recognized for its perfect balance between freshness and flavor, with an elastic texture that makes it a favorite for any occasion.

Both cheeses, under the D.O.P. Manchego Cheese seal, guarantee consumers a product that meets the strictest standards of food safety and organoleptic quality.

These two new awards add to a growing list of achievements that highlights the consistency of our cheesemaking over time. Just last year, in the 2025 edition, we reached a historic milestone with four awards in this same competition, including medals for our Carpuela and Certeza brands.
